Our Wine Dyed Throw uses surplus wine from local vineyard partners to create rich, romantic colors. The natural tannins in wine act as a natural mordant, helping the color bond permanently to the cotton fibers.
We partner with local Chicago-area vineyards to collect surplus wine that would otherwise go to waste. The wine is gently heated and combined with natural mordants. Cotton is slowly dipped and dried multiple times to build rich, lasting color.
